This document reports survey data on gender and racial/ethnic differences in the respondents' experiences with the application process and factors influencing their decision to attend NC State. Survey results for all respondents are provided in "1998 Entering Transfer Student Survey: All Respondents." For information about the survey and analysis methods see "1998 Entering Transfer Student Survey: Introduction, Methods, and Student Demographic Profile."
Note: Due to the small number of minority respondents (30 African Americans, 49 other minorities), apparent patterns of responses may be misleading. Caution must be taken when interpreting the survey data. Complete results of tests for statistical significance of difference between gender and racial/ethnic groups are available from UPA upon request.
