Fall 1998 Employer Survey:
Employee Gender/Ethnicity Introduction
The following document compares demographic characteristics of the full population of eligible alumni, those alumni who actually responded to the Fall 1998 Survey of Baccalaureate Alumni, and alumni with employers who responded to the Fall 1998 Employer Survey. Overall there are few demographic differences between the alumni responding to the the Fall 1998 Survey of Baccalaureate Alumni and the alumni with employers responding to the employer survey.
Women made up about 45 percent (44.9%) of the Fall 1998 Survey of Baccalaureate Alumni respondents, and almost 41 percent (40.6%) of the alumni who had employers responding to the Fall 1998 Employer Survey were women. Similarly, 91.3 percent of the Fall 1998 Survey of Baccalaureate Alumni respondents were white, and of the alumni who had responsive employers, 91.1 percent were white. While African Americans made up 5.3 percent of survey respondents, only 4.8 percent of the alumni whose employers responded to the Fall 1998 Employer Survey were African American.
