of Earth's environment and how human and natural disturbances influence that environment.
2. Ability to assess, analyze, plan, and implement actions needed
to manage that environment.
3. Ability to utilize quantitative knowledge and skills, and
modern tools and technologies for environmental management.
4. A strong understanding of the social, political, and
economic framework in which environmental assessment and management decisions are made and
in which environmental technologists must function.
5. Ability to communicate effectively.
