COACHE “Themes”
COACHE categorized survey questions into one of 5 different topical themes. Within each discipline-specific file question items are grouped by "theme." Specifically, the themes are:
Tenure
Nature of Work
Policy/Practice
Climate, Culture, and Collegiality
Global Satisfaction
Academic Disciplines
COACHE categorized each individual academic department at NC State into one of 12 different "disciplines." A "crosswalk" file listing NC State departments and the discipline to which they were assigned is available in
here. Departments within a given discipline are also listed below.
Academic Discipline Data Files (Excel files)
Each file includes the overall frequency distribution and, when appropriate, mean rating for each question for NC State, our COACHE peer group, and all Universities participating in the COACH survey (aggregated) for respondents from that particular academic discipline.
