       Federal Mandate 4.6 (accurate recruitment
materials) Compliance Explanation Official recruitment materials are posted on the Web and are documents of record for NC State University. These recruitment materials are authoritative and accurate because they are updated as soon as changes in programs and policies are approved. Undergraduate
Programs Both printed information and information
on the Web are reviewed for accuracy and updated by the undergraduate
admissions office.  All admissions presentations to prospective students
and parents are developed to provide information that is consistent with
our print publications and website.  Specialized recruitment materials
that have been produced by individual academic units are reviewed for
accuracy by the colleges, as certified by the appropriate academic deans. The following documents are available in print: the prospective student guide, the freshman bulletin, transfer student information and application, prospective undergraduate international student information, an honors brochure, and a welcoming diversity brochure. Graduate
        Programs The
Graduate School reviews and updates all printed recruitment materials
before sending orders to the printer.  Recruiting materials published
by the departments and colleges are reviewed by the respective deans’
offices in the same way.  In addition, the university posts official
recruitment material on the Web; it is updated more quickly and more frequently. Distance
Education The Distance Education office has primary responsibility
for distance education recruitment materials, provided in both print and
        electronic form. The Distance Education
Web page and the electronic version of the DE catalog are regularly
reviewed and updated to provide accurate and complete information, and
DE print catalogs, marketing materials, and electronic advertisements
are scrutinized by DE administrators, campus entities, and program coordinators.
Specific DE program literature—in both print and electronic format—are
verified and approved by the appropriate academic department. Supplementary Information Recruitment
        materials for the Summer
Research Experience (SRE) target students who are interested in science
and technology.  Minority students can explore diversity enhancement programs,
        Minority
Graduate Education (MGE) Program, and Bioscience Research Initiative for
Doctoral Graduate Education (BRIDGE) Program.  All information
about these programs is provided through brochures, on the Web and listed
        in the graduate catalog. References
